Enlightment

Jesus was teaching his disciples - preparing them for His death - trying to help them understand some of the events that
were to come saying, But these things I have told you, that when the time comes you may remember that I told you of them.  But now I go away to Him who sent Me .....   He continues "Nevertheless I tell you the truth.  It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away the Helper will not come to you ......He gives more information about the Helper, "However, when He, The Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth ....."

Later, after His resurrection and before His ascension He commands them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father.  He then states that "You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth."

Jesus told his disciples that the Holy Spirit would be available to them after He had gone to His Father.  These same disciples who had spent the days after Jesus death filled with fear ... hiding ... denying that they even knew Jesus -they were suddenly and completely changed into men who could tell of Jesus as the Bible says to the ends of the earth.  A wonderful change - this ability to be more than we are.   It's available to us allThis area is dedicated to you.
